ISLAMABAD – The second phase of the luxury cars auction has been announced.

55 luxury cars will be auctioned in the second phase of the PakistanTehreek-e-Insaf government’s austerity drive.

The carpool includes 49 vehicles of the Prime Minister’s House and sixvehicles of the National Assembly Secretariat and their auction will takeplace on October 17 and 24 respectively.

Twenty vehicles are bulletproof while 27 are non-bulletproof. Thegovernment has also decided to put up for auction nine cars, which werepurchased during the tenure of Nawaz Sharif.

The vehicles will be displayed for public inspection on October 15-16 atthe Prime Minister’s House. Furthermore, the Federal Board of Revenue,which will monitor the auction process, has reduced taxes on the vehicles.
