ISLAMABAD – By-elections on thirty five constituencies of National andprovincial assemblies will be held tomorrow (Sunday).
Three hundred and seventy candidates are in the run for the elections to beheld on eleven National Assembly and twenty four Provincial Assemblies’seats.
Polling will begin at eight in the morning and continue till five pmwithout any break.
The election commission of Pakistan has completed all the arrangements forthe smooth conduct of the polls.
Ballot papers have been handed over to the presiding officers, which willbe distributed under the supervision of the Pakistan Army.
Over seven thousand and four hundred polling stations have been set up forthe by polls. Of these, 1727 have been categorized as highly sensitive.
Overseas Pakistanis will vote for the first time in the by-polls.
ECP establishes control room for guidance of Overseas Pakistanis
Election Commission of Pakistan has established a control room for guidanceof Overseas Pakistanis in By-Elections.
In a statement today (Saturday), the ECP advised those overseas Pakistanis,who have not yet received voting password, to contact the control room at0092512778899.
It said that voters would not be allowed to cast their votes withoutpassword.
