DAMASCUS, Sept 12 (APP/AFP): Syrian Army has freezes its Military operations against the rebels as per the Russian- US peace truce.

Syria’s armed forces announced a seven-day “freeze” on military operations Monday evening, just moments after a landmark truce brokered by Russia and the US came into effect.

The army, in a statement broadcast on state television, said the freeze began at 7:00 pm (1600 GMT) and would last until midnight Sunday (2100 GMT) “in the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic”.
