*Jaisalmer, Rajasthan* — In a major security breach, Rajasthan Police havearrested *Mahendra Prasad*, a 32-year-old contractual manager at a DefenceResearch and Development Organisation (DRDO) guest house near the ChandanField Firing Range in Jaisalmer, on charges of spying for Pakistan’sInter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
According to officials, Prasad, a native of *Almora district in Uttarakhand*,is accused of leaking classified information to Pakistani handlers. Thesensitive details reportedly included the movement patterns of DRDOscientists and Indian Army officers, as well as data related to *missileand weapons testing* at the high-security firing range.
Investigators allege that Prasad established contact with ISI operativesthrough social media platforms. He is believed to have exchangedconfidential information in return for monetary benefits. The Chandan FieldFiring Range, located in Jaisalmer, is one of India’s most strategictesting sites for advanced defence systems, making the breach a matter ofserious national concern.
