CTD Foils Terror Plot, Arrests Two High-Risk Operatives in Karachi IBO

Karachi, August 11, 2025 — The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), in collaboration with local police, arrested two terrorists affiliated with the banned Fitna al-Khawarij organization during an intelligence-based operation in the Manghopir area of Karachi.()

The arrested individuals, identified as Abdul Wakil and Ajmal from Qila Abdullah, Balochistan, had reportedly received military training at the Maroof camp in Afghanistan. They are believed to be close associates of Sharifullah, a high-profile terrorist. The suspects were sent to Karachi for an operation and were assigned a target.

During the operation, weapons were seized from the arrested operatives. The CTD has initiated an investigation, and cases are being registered against the suspects at the CTD police station in Karachi.
