Pakistan seek emergency UN Security Council session against India over Occupied Kashmir

*ISLAMABAD – Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that he haswritten a letter to the UN Security Council asking it to convene a specialmeeting to discuss the illegal steps of India to change the status quo inOccupied Kashmir.*

In a video message on Tuesday, he said that the letter has been forwardedby Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dr MaleehaLodhi.

He said Pakistan deems that Indian actions have jeopardized the regional aswell as global peace. “It is India’s wrong thinking that it can crush theright to self-determination of Kashmiris.”

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said if 700,000 Indian troops deployed in OccupiedJammu and Kashmir for decades could not defeat the freedom struggle ofKashmiris, the reinforcement of 180,000 troops will also fail.

He said that he also mentioned in the letter that India is planning a newmassacre of Kashmiris in the held territory and if New Delhi thinksPakistan and Kashmir people will bear it silently, it will be a gravemistake.
