KARACHI: Pakistani all-rounder Shoaib Malik has made history for Pakistan as he becomes the first Pakistani player to achieve a new milestone for Pakistan cricket.
Shoaib Malik has become the first Cricketer from the country and Asia to complete seven thousand runs in T20 cricket.
Malik, 35, reached this milestone with 38-ball-51 in a Caribbean Premier League (CPL) match for Barbados Tridents against Trinbago Knight Riders.
He is the only seventh batsman in history to complete 7,000 runs in the shortest format of professional cricket. West Indian Chris Gayle leads the list with 10,236 runs.
Brendon McCullum of New Zealand, David Warner of Australia, Kieron Pollard of West Indies, Brad Hodge of Australia, and Dwayne Smith of West Indies are also members of the 7,000-T20-runs club.
