NEW DELHI – India has claimed to have caught a ‘Pakistani spy pigeon’ andsocial media is finding it hilarious.
Indian officials said on Monday, June 11, that the bird was found near theIndo-Pak border with “markings on its body” that were partly inUrdu,reported the BBC news channel.
A teenager from the village of Manwal, close to the border, found and tookthe pigeon to the nearest police station where the creature was X-rayed.
Although nothing suspicious was found on the bird, the police have kept itin custody and it has apparently been logged as a “suspected spy” in thearea’s official police diary.
The news quickly spread on social media and users couldn’t get enough ofthe feathered ‘spy’ in Indian custody.
