ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government is all setto restrict National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) powers.
According to sources, the PML-N government has prepared a bill to curtailNAB’s powers. Relevant sources informed that the bill will be promulgatedthrough presidential ordinance.
Sources further informed that the accountability court will have authorityto arrest any person instead of NAB chairman.
Furthermore, NAB s authority will only be limited to the center and it willnot be able to take any action in the provinces.
