ISLAMABAD – Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif accompanied by IranianAmbassador Mehdi Honar Dost called on National Security Adviser RetiredLieutenant General Nasser Khan Janjua in Islamabad on Tuesday morning.

During the meeting, they expressed profound satisfaction over upwardtrajectory in bilateral relations.

Both sides stressed on the importance of identifying and removing all theimpediments for improving relations. They also exchanged views on regionalsecurity situation at length.

Both sides identified common threats and opportunities and reiterated towork in a cooperative framework to seek lasting peace in the region whilecatering for the sensitivities of each other.
