ISLAMABAD – At the invitation of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the CrownPrince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Muhammad bin Salman will arrive inPakistan on Saturday next.
Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman holds important portfolios in theKingdom’s government, including that of the Vice President of the Councilof Ministers and the Defense Minister.
During his two days visit, the Crown Prince will be accompanied by ahigh-powered delegation including members of the Saudi Royal family, keyministers and leading businessmen. This will be first state-level visit thedignitary to Pakistan since his elevation to the position of the CrownPrince in April 2017.
During the visit, Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman will call on thePresident of Pakistan. He will also meet the Prime Minister and the Chiefof Army Staff. A delegation of Pakistan’s Senate will also call on theCrown Prince to discuss ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation betweenthe two countries.
The Saudi Ministers accompanying the Crown Prince will meet theircounterparts to discuss bilateral cooperation in their respective fields.On the sidelines of the visit, businessmen of the two countries will alsomeet to discuss opportunities of collaboration in the private sector.
During his stay, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will be signing a number ofagreements and MoUs in diverse sectors, including investment, finance,power, renewable energy, internal security, media, culture and sports. Thetwo countries will also discuss ways and means to develop a robustfollow-up mechanism to ensure effective implementation and quick progresson tangible areas of cooperation.
The visit of Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman is expected to significantlyenhance bilateral ties between the two countries in all spheres ofcooperation.
