Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan told his cabinet ministers on Tuesday toeither own the government’s decisions and initiatives or resign if theydisagree with his vision.
As per media reports, the premier reprimanded the ministers during thefederal cabinet’s meeting for their poor performances and the lack ofreforms in the state institutions for over two and a half years.
“Ministers should show some ownership towards the decisions of thegovernment,” he said, adding that if they go against the policies of thePTI, they are free to resign from their posts.

It all started when the Advisor to PM on Institutional Reforms, Dr. IshratHussain, briefed the cabinet about the situation of the state institutions,in response to which the PM lamented that no reform could be introduced tothe system of governance.
Many cabinet members opposed the idea of reforms in differentinstitutions and suggested that the accountability of those responsible forthe current state of affairs be considered.——————————

The PM responded that all the ministers would have to improve theirperformances, and directed them to prepare brief but comprehensive reportsabout the institutions.
The premier also chided the Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP), saying that“the AGP has been accused of a 200 billion rupees corruption scandal,” anddirected him to submit a report in this regard.
