According to a report by the United Nations Sustainable DevelopmentFramework (UNSDF), Pakistan is leading from the front where implementingthe UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is concerned.
The report has termed Pakistan’s economic growth as ‘inclusive’ which wouldultimately benefit all citizens regardless of their social background.——————————
d transgender individuals would fulfill their potential with dignity andequality of opportunity as a result of equitable social development thatthe economic growth would engender, the report added.
Moreover, the all-inclusive and targeted policies of the incumbent PTIgovernment would allow citizens to have access to quality services in nearfuture.
The economic growth coupled with good governance would not only benefit thecurrent generation but will also cater to the needs of future generations,the report concluded.——————————
In a statement, the UN reaffirmed its commitment to working with Pakistan’sgovernment at the grassroots level to implement all SDGs and bring apositive change in the country.
It pledged to adhere to the principle of “leaving no one behind” andimprove the living conditions of all the people in the country, especiallythe most vulnerable, marginalized, and disadvantaged factions of thesociety.
