ISLAMABAD – Former national team player Marina Iqbal has made history inPakistan.
She has become Pakistan’s first female cricket commentator. She was a partof the commentary team during the Pakistan-Australia women cricket seriesheld in Malaysia.
Iqbal was a part of the national team from 2009 to 2015.
Talking to media, Iqbal said that she became a cricketer after watchingImran Khan’s victory speech at the 1992 World Cup. “I always wanted to be acommentator and now I think I have opened a new door for girls inPakistan,” she said.
