HYDERABAD: A high profile sex racket was busted in Hyderabad’s poshlocality Banjara Hills on Thursday. The cops have also arrested threepeople accused of running the racket.

Three women, including a Russian, were “rescued” by the police. The otherwomen are from Delhi and West Bengal. The women were promised a dailyallowance of Rs 16,000.

The chief accused – Kurian Tharayil Jacob – is a a real estate businessman,informed the Commissioner`s Task Force. Other two accused persons are –Yamala Mery, a resident of East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh andBihar-based Pankaj Kumar Mandal.

Jacob used to bring the female sex workers from Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta andalso Russia on agreement for payment of Rs 16,000 per day. Mery and Mandalwould bring in customers.

The accused persons were running the sex rackets from two houses in BanjaraHills.

In 2011, Jacob was arrested on same charges. He, however, continued hisactivities after coming out of jail.

The cops also rescued Rs 40,000 cash, six mobile phones and a passport. Afourth accused is still absconding, said sleuths of Commissioner`s TaskForce.
