Most wanted top TTP Commander killed in Afghanistan
In a recent development,a prominent figure and close associate of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) leader Mufti Noor Wali Mehsud, met his demise in a landmine explosion in Afghanistan's Paktika province. This incident, marks a significant event in the ongoing battle against terrorism. Badshah Khan had been a top-priority target, featured on the "most-wanted list," and was known for his involvement in carrying out terrorist operations against Pakistani security forces.
This unfortunate incident comes on the heels of another successful operation carried out by security forces in June 2023, where the highly sought-after terrorist Zafar Khan, also known as Zafari, and two of his associates were eliminated in Darra Adam Khel, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).
The operation, based on precise intelligence, demonstrated the commitment of intelligence agencies and security forces to eradicate terrorist threats.
Zafar Khan, hailing from Malan village in Darra Adam Khel, had recently crossed over from Nangarhar province in Afghanistan to Peshawar in May 2023. He had a history of involvement with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Afghanistan (TTA) and was responsible for orchestrating 26 grenade attacks within Pakistan. His elimination, alongside his two accomplices, Hasan Khan and Anas alias Ali, residents of Bazi Khel and Nangarhar, respectively, highlights the relentless efforts to neutralize terror elements through unconventional operational strategies rooted in credible intelligence.
The elimination of Badshah Khan and Zafar Khan signifies a significant blow to the TTP and underscores the joint efforts of intelligence agencies and security forces in combating terrorism. These operations exemplify the commitment to maintaining security and peace in the region, sending a strong message that individuals involved in acts of terrorism will be pursued relentlessly until they are brought to justice
