'Islamic Calligraphy' workshop held

FAISALABAD: Three-day training workshop on 'Islamic Calligraphy, Painting and Hand Writing' started at Government College University here on Wednesday.

Vice-Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ali inaugurated the workshop which has been organized in collaboration with Department of Islamic Teaching & Arabic and Higher Education.

Dr Treena Leones, American Scholar presented her research paper in connection with Islamic culture in Pakistan and 'Hama Gull- Multan Ka Heran Kun Drakhut'.  Mrs Tehmina Afzal highlighted history of Muslim Art.

Dean Faculty of Islamic and Oriental Learning Dr Hamyyun Abbas, Chairman Islamic Department Dr Ghulam Shams ul Rehman, Dr Saeed Ashraf Cheema, Dr Muhammad Iqbal Bhutta and others also spoke on the occasion.
