ISLAMABAD - An Islamabad-bound PIA flight, which took off from Paris, made an emergency landing at Allama Iqbal International Airport here citing bad weather conditions.
During the landing, a bird collided with the plane. The passengers of the flight started demanding an alternate plane for their remaining journey to Islamabad.
The officials of PIA refused the request of passengers, on which passengers protested furiously, and MNA Shahab-ud-Din, who was among the enraged passengers, announced angrily to leave his party right at the airport as protest against poor management of the affairs of the state-owned airlines.
“It is shameful that I belong to the PML-N”, Shahb-ud-Din, a National Assembly member from NA-44 constituency from tribal areas, said.
After the emergency landing of the flight, the PIA administration officials, initially asked passengers to go to Islamabad via buses on their own. However, after the protest of passengers, the airlines accepted the demand of passengers and arranged for their commute to Islamabad.
