LAHORE - Model Ayyan Ali on Tuesday filed a plea in the Lahore High Court (LHC) to revoke her arrest warrants as she wanted to appear before the trial court.
Judge of special customs court Arshad Hussain Bhutta had issued perpetual arrest warrants for the model after declaring her a proclaimed offender over continued absence from the proceedings in a currency smuggling case on Saturday (March 9).
“I want to appear before the customs court to prove my innocence in the case”, Ayyan’s plea read.
Article 10-A ensures right of a transparent trial to every citizen of the land, therefore it is requested to suspend the arrest warrants, she added in her plea.
