MIRPUR, Jun 12 (APP): Kashmiri delegation to attend UNHRC session in Geneva
An eight-member delegation led by APHC leader Altaf Hussain Wani is all set to attend 32nd session of United Nations Human Rights Council Geneva, wed by internationally acclaimed human rights defenders and the officials of the highest body.
Leader of the delegation Altaf Hussain Wani told APP here on Sunday that besides highlighting the plight of Kashmiris the Kashmiri delegates would apprise the world community about the worsening political and human rights situation in the UN disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The delegation would brief the world audiences about India's nefarious design to change the demographic complexion of Muslim majority state and its political and social implications over the region.
During the weeks long tour the delegation is scheduled to arrange seminars on Kashmir and hold fringe meetings with delegates from across the globe converging in Geneva.
The delegation will also organize a protest-camp outside the United Nations to expose atrocities being inflicted upon the people of Kashmir.
The other members of the delegation included Mir Tahir Masood, Syed Faiz Naqashbandi, Ishtiaq Hameed, Ahmed Qurashie, Shamim Shawal, Shugafta Ashraf and Zartash Niazi.
