KARACHI: The aircrafts F-7b, used for the last six decades have been replaced with advace JF-17 Thunder design with the mutual efforts of China and Pakistan included in PAF Squadron II.
As per details, the ceremony to include JF-17 Thunder in PAF Squadron II was held here at today at PAF Base Masroor, Karachi. Federal Minister for Defense Khawaja Asif and Air Chief Sohail Amman were the chief guest of the ceremony. Federal minister also inspected the guard of honour.
JF-17 Thunder aircrafts were added in the PAF Squadron II, replacing F-7b which are in use since 1950 while JF-17 aircrafts also demonstrated fly march at the occasion.
While addressing the ceremony, Khawaja Asif appreciated the professional capabilities of PAF saying that our Air Force is one of the best force of the world and always comes up on the expectations of the nation.
He further added that PAF has played a leading role in fight against terrorism and succeeded to break the backbone of terrorists. Defense Minister expressed his hope that PAF would continue its role to combat internal and external challenges saying that government is determined to further enhance the capabilities of PAF.
