Moscow — The Pakistan Embassy in Moscow has strongly rejected a concoctedstory published by an India-based media outlet, which falsely alleged thatRussian equipment details were being “smuggled” to Pakistan.
In an official statement, the Embassy termed the report as “baseless,misleading, and a deliberate attempt to spread disinformation.” Itclarified that no such incident had taken place and that the claims wereentirely fabricated with malicious intent.
The Embassy emphasized that Pakistan and Russia enjoy cordial andcooperative relations based on mutual respect and shared interests. Anysuch propaganda, it added, is aimed at damaging the growing bilateral tiesbetween the two countries.
The statement further urged media organizations to verify facts beforepublishing unsubstantiated stories and to avoid being part ofmisinformation campaigns driven by political motives.
“Such fabricated stories only reflect the desperation of certain quartersto create misunderstandings between Pakistan and its partners,” the Embassynoted.
The Embassy reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to maintaining transparent andlawful international cooperation, underscoring that irresponsiblejournalism harms regional stability and trust.
