In a major breakthrough in the Delhi blast investigation, interrogatorshave uncovered shocking details of an extensive terror network operatingacross India.
According to official sources, Dr. Shaheen Shahid, one of the keysuspects arrested in the case, has confessed to stockpiling explosives forover two years and planning coordinated terror attacks across multipleIndian cities.
During interrogation, Dr. Shaheen revealed that she was working in closecoordination with several other doctors, including Dr. Umar Un Nabi, Dr.Muzammil Ahmad Ganaie, and Dr. Adeel Majeed, who had also beenaccumulating large quantities of fertiliser-based explosives such asammonium nitrate.
Authorities say Dr. Shaheen was tasked by Pakistan-based terror outfitJaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) to establish and lead its women’s wing in India,operating under the banner of “Jamaatul Mominat.” She admitted to beingin direct contact with Sadia Azhar, the sister of JeM chief Masood Azhar,and to playing a central role in recruiting and indoctrinating young women,particularly students studying abroad.
Investigators claim Dr. Shaheen’s objective was to radicalize, train, andmobilize women for terror operations, expanding JeM’s footprint acrossIndia. The confession is being seen as a significant development that couldexpose deeper layers of the network’s operations within the country’smedical and educational institutions.
Security agencies are now pursuing leads to track down other members of thecell and prevent any potential attacks planned under this conspiracy.
