PESHAWAR – The Awami National Party (ANP) on Monday has suspended two topleaders from party membership.
The memberships of two senior party leaders Afrasiab Khattak and BushraGohar has been suspended.
According to the details garnered, both the party leaders were suspendeddue to the violation of party disciplines. The party leadership accusedthem of violating the party discipline and damaging its interests.
The party leadership had issued a show-cause notice to the two senior partyleaders last week and suspended their memberships after it failed toreceive a satisfactory response on the notices from them.
In the notice issued on Monday, the party leadership acknowledged that theyhad received a detailed response from Gohar and Khattak, but said that itfailed to satisfy them.
