ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Rangers and Border Security Force (BSF) vowed tomaintain peace and tranquility at the International Border (IB) in Jammudivision, DNA has reported.
The renewed pledge for peace was taken in a Sector Commander level Meetingbetween Border Security Force and Pakistan Rangers on International Borderin Suchetgarh area on Monday.
The BSF delegation comprising 18 officers was led by PS Dhiman, DIG JammuSector. Brigadier Amjad Mehmud, Sector Commander Chenab Rangers, SialkotePunjab, led the 14 member Pakistan delegation.
It was the first Sector Commander level meeting between two border guardingforces after tension gripped International Border Jammu, in September
“During meeting, Commanders of both the border guarding forces, interalia, discussed various issues including firing on International Border,presence of suspects in border areas and other routine issues related toborder management”, said a BSF spokesman at Jammu Frontier.
