US Dollar drops significantly against Pakistani Rupee

In the interbank and open market, the dollar has been continuously fallingfor more than two weeks. According to currency dealers, today at the startof business, the dollar in the interbank market became cheaper by 91 paisasand reached 278 rupees and 60 paisas,

In the open market, the dollar’s rate is at 279 rupees. So far, in theinterbank market, the dollar has fallen to 28 rupees and 35 paisas from itshighest level.

It’s worth noting that in the last four business days, the dollar decreasedby 4 rupees and 10 paisas, while during one month, the dollar in theinterbank market decreased by 9%, and in the open market, it fell by 17.5%.

Remember that the previous business day recorded the dollar’s rate at 281rupees and 51 paisas in the interbank market, while during the lastbusiness week, there was an overall decrease of more than 5 rupees in thevalue of the American dollar against the Pakistani rupee.

It’s worth mentioning that as a result of government efforts to combatsmuggling and other initiatives, there is continuous improvement in thevalue of the Pakistani rupee. In the open market, the highest level of theAmerican currency is now 50 rupees and 50 paisas cheaper.
