The secretive Hamas attack on Israel has stunned the entire world. It wassuch a cautious yet organized assault that it took the Israeli military,considered the world’s number one army, by surprise when Hamas infiltratorswere on their borders.
According to Hamas sources, the plan for this historic attack on Israel wasprepared in secrecy by the Al-Qassam Brigade’s commander, Al-Dhif, incollaboration with Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in Gaza. It was kept so covertthat only a few Hamas leaders were aware of it.
A local source revealed that this operation was kept so secretive that noteven Iran, which is one of Hamas’ staunchest supporters in terms offinancial and military aid, was informed of what Hamas was planning. Iranwas only told that Hamas was planning a major operation, but the detailsand timing were kept undisclosed.
When Hamas TV announced that Al-Qassam’s commander, Al-Dhif, would bemaking an important statement this week, Palestinians knew that somethingvery significant was about to happen because Al-Dhif does not appear inpublic or address the public.
