Multiple important decisions taken in federal cabinet meeting in Islamabad including appointment of DG ISI

The Federal Cabinet which met under the chairmanship of Prime Minister inIslamabad has approved establishment of Rehmatul-lil-Alameen Authority toportray true picture of Islam as per teachings of the Holy Prophet[Sallallah-o-Alaihe wa Alehi wa Sallam Khatam-un-Nabiyyeen].

This was stated by Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry FawadHussain while briefing media in Islamabad this afternoon about thedecisions taken in the Federal Cabinet.

Chaudhry Fawad Hussain further said the authority will be responsible tohighlight various aspects of the life of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad[Sallallah-o-Alaihe wa Alehi wa Sallam Khatam-un-Nabiyyeen] among the youth.

The Information Minister said the cabinet also approved establishment of aspecial anti-riot unit in the Islamabad police to handle mobbing violenceor rioting.

He said that appointment of the new Director General of Inter-ServicesIntelligence will be made as per legal procedure.

The information Minister said the issue of appointment of new DG ISI wasdiscussed in the meeting. He said both Prime Minister Imran Khan and ArmyChief General Qamar Javed Bajwa enjoy cordial and cooperative relationshipsand none of them can take any step, which may undermine sanctity and honourof either side.

The Information Minister said Imran Khan yesterday held a long and cordialmeeting with General Bajwa and both have unanimity of views over theappointment of new DG ISI.

He said foreigners working on various projects of China-Pakistan EconomicCorridor have been granted online visa facility. He said the facility hasalso been given to Afghan citizens with exemption of visa fee.

The Minister said it was also approved to include Afghan traders toPakistan visa list. He said we want to encourage legal entry of Afghancitizens to Pakistan.

Chaudhry Fawad Hussain the cabinet nodded renewal of K-2 Airways’ licenseand approved issuance of licence to Air Sial.

He said the cabinet was also briefed on use of Electronic Voting Machinesand granting of voting rights to Overseas Pakistanis. He said the cabinetalso offered Fateha for the departed soul of nuclear scientist Dr AbdulQadeer Khan.
