ISLAMABAD – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says his country willcontinue support for the resolution of Kashmir issue according toaspirations of Kashmiri people and the relevant UN resolutions.
He was talking to Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser during a meeting onthe sidelines of third Regional Speakers Conference in Istanbul.
The Turkish President termed the revocation of Articles 370 and 35-A byIndia as illegal and immoral act. He demanded an end to the curfew andoppression in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.
President Erdogan underscored the importance of brotherly and friendlyrelations between Turkey and Pakistan.
He said Prime Minister Imran Khan in his address at the UN General Assemblyrepresented Muslim Ummah and Kashmiri people in real sense.
Erdogan said all religions reject terrorism and extremism and linking theseto any specific religion is condemnable.
Speaker National Assembly said Pakistan and Turkey are intertwined inunprecedented relation of religion, fraternity, history and culture. Hesaid Pakistan is proud of its exemplary friendship with Turkey.
Asad Qaiser said both countries stand shoulder to shoulder in times ofdifficulty.
Appreciating the address of Turkish President in the UN General Assembly,Asad Qaiser said Tayyip Erdogan highlighted the Kashmir issue andchallenges confronted by Muslim Ummah in an effective manner.
He emphasized the need for unity and harmony among the Muslim countries toresolve the issues faced by Ummah.
Asad Qaiser also hailed the decision of establishment of TV channel forcountering Islamophobia and to highlight the true identity of Islam byPakistan, Turkey and Malaysia.
He said Turkey has a clear and unequivocal stance on Kashmir issue.
He urged the international community to play its role in lifting the curfewand ending the barbarism of Indian forces in Occupied Kashmir.
