Pakistan and Indian Military DGMOs held functional contact over LoC

NEW DELHI – Pakistan and Indian Armies Director General of MilitaryOperations had operational and functional contact, Media Reports haverevealed.

Pakistan has raised with India the issue of targeting civilians duringceasefire violations along the Line of Control, which has seen a spikesince special status to Jammu and Kashmir was scrapped in August.

The issue was raised by the Army during functional level talks held by theDirectorate General of Military Operations with its Indian counterpart onOctober 1.

On the other hand, Indian Military said In July, there were 296 cases ofceasefire violations (CFVs), 307 in August and 292 in September, sourcessaid.
