In the Asia Cup Super Four stage match against Pakistan, several recordswere set by India.

On Monday, in a crucial match of the Asia Cup Super Four stage played inColombo, India defeated Pakistan by a massive margin of 228 runs. In thismatch, star Indian cricketers Virat Kohli and KL Rahul established therecord for the highest partnership by Indian batsmen in the Asia Cup. Bothbatsmen put up a partnership of 233 runs for the third wicket, marking thebiggest partnership for India against Pakistan in One Day International(ODI) cricket.

Before this, in 1996, Sachin Tendulkar and Navjot Singh Sidhu had a 231-runpartnership, and in 2018, in ODI cricket, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawanhad a 210-run partnership. Virat Kohli also broke the world record for thefastest 13,000 runs in ODI cricket, surpassing the previous record held bythe former Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar.
