Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) proudly announced asignificant milestone on Tuesday, revealing the successful testing,completion, and integration of the Nashpa-11 well into the productionstream. This achievement, as reported to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX),stands as a testament to OGDCL’s internal expertise and relentless pursuitof excellence in the oil and gas industry.
The Nashpa-11 well was meticulously drilled to a remarkable depth of 4,485meters, with the specific aim of tapping into the hydrocarbon potentialresiding within the Lumshiwal, Hangu, and Lockhart formations.
Remarkably, these formations are presently yielding a substantial output,with 830 barrels per day (BPD) of oil and 1.0 million standard cubic feetper day (MMSCFD) of gas flowing through a 32/64″ choke at a wellheadflowing pressure (WHFP) of 520 PSI. As of September 11, 2023, the Nashpa-11well has been seamlessly connected to the OGDCL Nashpa plant via a1.8-kilometer flow line, allowing for the efficient injection of gas intothe Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) network.
This successful endeavor underscores a collaborative effort, with OGDCLtaking the lead as the operator and holding an impressive 56.45 percentstake. Additionally, this partnership includes esteemed entities such asPakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL), contributing with a significant 28.55percent share, and Government Holding Private Limited (GHPL), which holds anotable 15 percent stake.
