According to details, the President conferred Nishan-e-Imtiaz (military) onChief of Royal Malaysian Navy at a special investiture ceremony held hereat the Aiwan-e-Sadr.
President Arif Alvi adorned the Malaysian Naval Chief with the prestigiousaward in recognition of his valuable contribution to strengthening thedefence ties between the two countries.
The ceremony commenced with the national anthem and the recitation ofverses from the Holy Quran, and was attended by senior officers of thePakistan and Malaysian navies.

Earlier in the day, Malaysian Naval Chief Admiral Tan Sri Mohd Reza binMohd Sany called on Naval Chief Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi in Islamabad anddiscussed matters of mutual interest and cooperation in the maritime sector.
The Malaysian Naval Chief was also briefed about Pakistan Navy’sresponsibilities and capacity. Admiral Tan Sri Mohd Reza bin Mohd Sanyadmired efforts of Pak-Navy for maritime security in the region.
