NEW DELHI – After being thrashed by Chinese Army at the disputed Northernborders, Indian Army seek dialogues to cool down situation escalating atthe border.
The border tensions between India and China escalated when there was aface-off between soldiers of the Indian Army and the Chinese Army inLadakh. The incident took place at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) nearthe northern bank of the Pangong Tso Lake on Wednesday, news agency ANIreported quoting Army sources. However after the incident, Indian army seekdialogues to de escalate the situation.
However, the face-off was over after delegation-level talks between twosides took place in Ladakh.
“There was a face-off between the two armies but it got over after thedelegation-level talks between two sides. The face-off is over now and ithad de-escalated and disengaged fully after delegation-level talksyesterday,” ANI reported quoting the Indian Army on Thursday.
Both the sides stake claim over the more than 130 km which extends betweenboth India and Chinese controlled Tibet area.
The Army also stated that such incidents happen due to differingperceptions of the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and there are establishedmechanisms to resolve such differences.
Incidentally, the confrontation took place in the same area where Indianand Chinese troops had engaged in a bitter scuffle during the Doklamstandoff.
