NEW YORK – The United Nations Humans Rights Chief gives a blow to Indiangovernment.
UN has said that the people of Kashmir have the exact same rights tojustice and dignity as the people all over the world.
The new UN Human Rights Chief Michelle Bachelet in her opening remarks atthe 39th session of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC), in Brussels, hasurged India to respect these rights and take meaningful action onaddressing issues highlighted in the UN report on human rights violationsin Kashmir.

She also reiterated the UNHRC’s request for unconditional access to Kashmiron either side of the Line of Control. However, India reacted sharply tothe report, calling it fallacious, tendentious and motivated.
