With an Anxiety in India, Pakistan and US Decide to Enhance Counterterrorism Cooperation

*Article:*ISLAMABAD – The U.S. Acting Coordinator for Counterterrorism, Gregory D.LoGerfo, called on Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister,Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, on Tuesday.

During the meeting, Mr. LoGerfo briefed the Deputy Prime Minister on theoutcomes of the recently held Pakistan-U.S. Counterterrorism (CT) Dialogue.The discussions focused on collaborative measures to combat terrorism,enhance intelligence sharing, and strengthen bilateral security cooperation.

Senator Ishaq Dar welcomed the engagement and emphasized the importance ofmaintaining a sustained and structured framework for counterterrorismcollaboration between Pakistan and the United States. He described suchcooperation as a vital contributor to ensuring peace and stability, notonly in South Asia but also in the wider international arena.

Both officials expressed their commitment to continuing dialogue and jointefforts aimed at tackling emerging security challenges and promoting mutualtrust between the two nations.
