On Tuesday, a bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi issued a notice to the Punjab government regarding PTI founder Imran Khan’s bail petitions challenging the Lahore High Court’s verdict in the May 9 violence cases.
The three-member Supreme Court bench resumed hearings on multiple petitions filed by Imran Khan after the LHC rejected his bail requests in the same cases.
During the proceedings, CJP Afridi observed that certain findings had been attached to the bail pleas. He clarified that, for now, the court would neither assess the accuracy of those findings nor delve into the legal aspects of the matter at this stage.
