Srinagar: Unprecedented curfew and communication blackout continue inoccupied Kashmir even on the day of Eid-ul Azha.Reportedly, the Muslims in Kashmir are unable to offer Eid prayers orsacrifice animals as there is deployment of military and security forces inevery street and corner.
The curfew has resulted in shortage of essential commodities including foodand medicine in the valley. On the other hand, there is a completecommunication blackout with no internet or mobile service.
According to Kashmir media service, the government of India holds ban onEid gatherings in Kashmir today and almost all political leadershipincluding Syed Ali Gilani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq are under house arrest
