DUBAI – Virat Kohli has become the highest run-scorer across all formats sofar in 2018.
Kohli, who scored 23 in the second Test before edging one behind off ChrisWoakes, has scored 1404 runs thus far in the calender year, beating outEngland’s Jonny Bairstow, who’s scored 1389.
Another Indian batsman in Shikhar Dhawan also features in the top five.Dhawan, who performed poorly at Edgbaston and was subsequently dropped forthe Lord’s Test, has scored 1055 runs.
In third place in the list is England skipper Joe Root, who scored 80 and14 in the first Test vs India at Edgbaston and has amassed 1338 runs in2018.
Fakhar Zaman, who became the first batsman from Pakistan to score a doubleton in the fifth ODI of the ODI series against Zimbabwe, is fourth on thelist with 1181 runs.
