MULTAN (APP): National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Multan has recovered Rs 100 million from four accused out of the total seven arrested in Rs 420 million fraud case.
Further investigations were in progress and more arrests are expected in near furure.
NAB Multan spokesperson said in a statement that NAB Multan was carrying out investigation into National Bank Muzaffargarh corruption case in a transparent manner and allegations that innocent persons are being implicated in inquiry were baseless, false and contrary to the reality.
Up till now, fraud of Rs 420 million has been unearthed. The amount of fraud will be recovered from accused persons at KIBOR rate and deposited with National Bank of Pakistan/State Exchequer.
Seven accused persons have been arrested in National Bank Muzaffargarh corruption case and recovery of Rs. 100 million have been made from four persons. Three persons are under arrest and investigation is in progress. More arrests were expected in near future.
It may be noted that some officials of district accounts office Muzaffargarh, and NBP Muzaffargarh were arrested by NAB last month in Rs 420 million pension fraud.
