SRINAGAR – In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown will be observed tomorrowto mark the Kashmir Martyrs’ Day.
Call for shutdown has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership toreiterate the urgent need for a peaceful and just resolution of the Kashmirdispute and to put an end to repression against the Kashmiri people.
It was on 13th of July 1931 when the troops of Dogra Maharaja had killed 22Kashmiris, one after the other, outside Central Jail in Srinagar during thecourt proceedings against a Kashmiri Abdul Qadeer who had asked people todefy the Dogra rule.
