*RAWALPINDI – The head of the army’s media wing has said fake alerts arebeing circulated on social media quoting the ISPR.*
Major General Asif Ghafoor denied that the army had issued any such threatalerts and asked people to verify the information from the ISPR’s officialwebsite (www.ispr.gov.pk).
He took to Twitter to say that some people were giving false updates aboutthe situation in Gwadar, where three militants attacked the PearlContinental. A security guard was killed in the attack and the hotel hasnow been cleared.
