Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu has strongly criticized the governmentin Indian Punjab state for allowing Delhi police to torture Punjabis in thestate’s domain.

He said this in tweet while referring to the torture of a cousin of a localpolitician, Lakha Sidhana’ by the Delhi Police. He termed this as shamefulact.

Sikh political party Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal alsocondemned the assault.

Reacting to the incident, he said Chief Minister Amarinder Singh isdirectly responsible for the atrocities being inflicted on the youth, whohad participated in the farmers’ agitation against the Delhi’s farm laws.
