MULTAN (APP): Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has decided to auction eight fountains of metro bus route Multan on April 13, 2017.
Talking to APP here on Wednesday, PHA spokesman Jalaluddin said that there were total nine fountains on the metro bus route including BZU Chowk, Northern bypass chowk I, Northern bypass chowk II, Khayam Cinema chowk, Dolat Gate Chowk, BCG Chowk, Vehari Chowk, Kumharanwala chowk and Chungi No 9. The fountain of Chungi No 9 was under the metro bus administration so the said fountain was not included in the auction. He said that the private companies would be responsible for bills, maintenance and other expenses of the fountains, asserting that expense of each fountain is around Rs 100,000.
He added the repective company will have to submit Rs 100,000 as security of each fountain and will be responsible for maintenance of fountains. However, the company will be allowed to make cutouts and publicity boards not more than the size of 3×3 at the site.
Jalal said that recovery process of publicity fee was continued and about Rs 80 millions against been recovered so far against the set recovery target of Rs 120 millions till June 2017. He said that the PHA administration has already given three towns of the city to private parties for recovery of publicity fee and announced two more towns Shah Rukan-e-Alam and Bosan Town for auction but nobody participated in the auction.
