LAHORE – Model Ayyan Ali on Tuesday filed a plea in the Lahore High Court(LHC) to revoke her arrest warrants as she wanted to appear before thetrial court.
Judge of special customs court Arshad Hussain Bhutta had issued perpetualarrest warrants for the model after declaring her a proclaimed offenderover continued absence from the proceedings in a currency smuggling case onSaturday (March 9).
“I want to appear before the customs court to prove my innocence in thecase”, Ayyan’s plea read.
Article 10-A ensures right of a transparent trial to every citizen of theland, therefore it is requested to suspend the arrest warrants, she addedin her plea.
