It may be recalled that, Superintendent of Police (SP) Tahir Khan Dawar,who was kidnapped from Islamabad’s G-10/4 area on October 26, was murderedin Afghanistan as his tortured body was found in Dur Baba district ofNangarhar province.
Afghan authorities handed over the mortal remains of the martyred cop to aPakistani delegation at Torkham border crossing on November 15 after whichthe body was brought to Peshawar and was laid to rest after performingfuneral prayers.
The Foreign Office said in a statement that Pakistan hoped that Afghanauthorities will offer full cooperation in ascertaining the circumstancesbehind the killing of the police officer in Afghanistan.
