ISLAMABAD – Pakistan and Turkmenistan signed the final version of the HostGovernment Agreement on TAPI Gas Pipeline network in Islamabad today.
The agreement was signed by the Secretary Petroleum Mian Asad Hayauddin andChief Executive of TPCL Amanov.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Petroleum Ghulam Sarwar Khanreiterated Pakistan’s commitment for an early and successful implementationof the TAPI project.
He hoped the ground breaking of the project will be held in Pakistan thisyear.
Turkmen Foreign Minister R Meredov appraised the Minster of hisgovernment’s initiatives in ensuring the timelines of the project.
He welcomed Pakistan’s continued commitment and active interest in the TAPIgas project.
TAPI gas pipeline project aims to bring natural gas from the Gylkynish andadjacent gas fields in Turkmenistan to Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.
