ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’s (PMLN) leader Maryam Nawaz hasresponded harshly to the Senate elections results.
She deplored the nexus between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief ImranKhan and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
She termed Imran Khan a vendor of ‘umpire finger’. She termed foes (Khanand Zardar) pawns of chess and challenged them to face the court of themasses.
Earlier, Independent candidate from Balochistan, backed by joint oppositionSadiq Sanjrani has won Senate election for chairmanship with as many as 57votes against 46 of ruling party’s candidate on Monday.
Raja Zafarul Haq of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and SadiqSanjrani, a joint candidate of opposition parties contested for Senatechairmanship with the latter, backed by Pakistan People s Party (PPP),Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM),recording a convincing victory with 57 votes against former s 46.
