Modi government inflicts losses of Rs 45,969 billions to IAF in 6 billion aircrafts deal

ISLAMABAD – Narendra Modi’s government has inflicted loss of Rs 45,969crore to the Indian Air Force (IAF) by procuring more India-made Tejas jets– 60 percent of which are already grounded.

According to details, Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh forced toprocure Tejas aircrafts and awarded $ 6.25 billion contract to HindustanAeronautics Limited-HAL for supply of LCA (light combat aircraft) Mk-1Ajets.

Indian Navy had rejected Tejas from the very beginning due to basic designflaws. The jets are now being introduced as alternatives to MiG-21s whichalso have a bad reputation. Over 170 Indian pilots and 40 civilians havebeen killed in MiG-21 accidents since 1970.

IAF and Modi government avoided using Tejas on February 27 when PakistanAir Force (PAF) shot down two Indian jets – MiG-21 and SU-30 – whichreflects Indian incompetence and failure.

On the other hand, PAF achieved success by ‘Made in Pakistan’ JF-17Thunder, once again proving skills and expertise in the aviation industry.Meanwhile, India’s aviation industry remains under a question mark.
