ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed countrywide crackdownagainst gas theft.
Chairing a high-level meeting to review matters regarding gas sector inIslamabad on Tuesday, he said no leniency should be given regardingunaccounted for gas loss.
The Prime Minister was briefed that gas worth fifty billion rupees isstolen and consumers have to bear this additional burden as well.
The meeting also decided to immediately import two million cubic feet perday (MMCFD) to meet gas requirements of power and other sectors in upcomingmonths.
